The Copobras Group's “Toy Campaign” reached its third year on Christmas 2012, in this edition the campaign received in addition to toys, non-perishable food. As in previous editions, it involves all units of the Group, and had full participation of employees as well as the surrounding community.
All the editions of the campaign have already raised more than 6700 toys, that, generally, are sent to needy children in public schools, day care centers or in homes, according to surveys by city halls.
A highlight in this campaign, was the delivery of donations in the city of Palmares-PE, that was hit hard by the floods in 2010. Children from a community called “Engenho” received part of the donations and the rest was sent to a daycare center where the homeless were.. The employees who made the delivery were moved and thrilled to see the sparkle in the children's eyes. They knew that that toy would not solve all their problems, but it helped to restart life after the tragedy.
